17 May Back to the 90’s: Saved By The Max in Chicago

Posted at 08:30h in Blog, Illinois, United States, Urban Adventure by Jenna Kvidt 26 Comments

OK, I have a confession to make—I’ve mentioned it briefly before, but I have a mild…well, I guess some may call it a full-blown obsession with the 90’s TV Show, Saved By The Bell. I literally watched it every day after school for years (at...

Chicago is home to one of the tallest buildings in the world, and because of this, it is a fantastic city to reach for the sky and take in the views at cloud level. The Willis Tower and the John Hancock Center are prime spots...

Chicago, Illinois, is a city we have visited many times over the years, but most of our visits have been prior to our travel blogging days. Because of this, we have only written a couple of posts on the Windy City, so it was about...

18 Nov Overnight in Chicago: Hilton Chicago O’Hare Airport Hotel

Posted at 09:00h in Blog, Illinois, United States by Jenna Kvidt 12 Comments

Recently, we found a new love for airport hotels that are located at the airport. Overnight layovers don’t need to be any more inconvenient than they already are, especially before or after an international flight. On our recent trip to Greece, we had two overnight...

28 Sep Crown Fountains of Chicago

Posted at 08:30h in Blog, Illinois, United States, Urban Adventure by Jenna Kvidt 3 Comments

Chicago is one of my favorite cities--when living in Minneapolis it was either a quick flight or a 7 hour drive away.  Micah and I always chose to drive to Chicago because we enjoy a good road trip and don't mind being in the car. I...

Instagram post 17858825125584253 One of our favorite places to snorkel in the Florida Keys is John Pennekamp State Park! We went on a tour with the state park and made our way out to the Christ of the Abyss statue for an afternoon of snorkeling. The reef there is beautiful and there is a ton of marine life. It was such a fun afternoon in the water! ⠀
Instagram post 17907979114372636 Last time we were in Key West we went kayaking in clear kayaks! We paddled through crystal clear waters and it almost felt as though we were gliding through the air. It was such a strange but amazing experience! ☀️ 🐠 ⠀
Instagram post 17870964514500753 Views of the 7 Mile Bridge and the Old 7 Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys. 🏝 We always love stopping and going for a walk on the old bridge when we are exploring the Keys! ⠀ ⠀ The Old Seven Mile Bridge is currently closed and under construction, but normally it’s home to a 2.2 mile biking and walking trail from Marathon to Pigeon Key. Can’t wait for it to open up again (in 2021), so we can make another pit stop at one of our favorite spots. In the meantime though, you can still take a boat tour out to Pigeon Key to learn about the fascinating history of the island and both of the bridges! ⠀
Instagram post 17862866437548795 Paraisailing is always such a fun adventure, especially when you have views over Key West like this! It was a gorgeous, sunny day out on the water, and we love how peaceful it is sailing through the sky ☀️🏝⛵️⠀
