About Us

Hello! Our names are Jenna and Micah–we are photographers and videographers who travel the world in search of adventure. One of our favorite things to do is to capture stories, both visual and written, through the people, cultures and destinations we visit. We believe that experiencing the world, no matter how you choose to do so, is an adventure that is worth living. Our goal is to share our stories with you and to give you inspiration and ideas on how to live your best life: a life that is full of adventures, big or small–a life that makes you smile.

Our Favorite Moments of 2018, Wander The Map

Our philosophy is that adventure is an outlook on life and you can have one anywhere, anytime. Adventure can be something as simple as trying a new food or it can be extreme like ice climbing on a glacier. An adventure can happen halfway across the world or even in your own home town. We think that pushing your boundaries to try something you’ve never done before or participating in any activity that gives you a feeling of exhilaration and happiness is an adventure. No matter how you define it, we want you to have a life full of adventure, one that gets you out exploring, one that makes you happy.

Our story:

We are from a tiny little town called Pelican Rapids in west central Minnesota–right smack dab in the middle of more lakes than you’d probably like to count–Minnesota is the land of 10,000 lakes, after all. Micah and I went to high school together, but we officially met while we were seated next to each other in high chairs at my grandma’s house. Typical small town scenario, except shortly after, his family moved to a nearby town and we didn’t really know each other until he moved back to Pelican Rapids his sophomore year of high school.

When I was in 10th grade, and he was in 11th, we started dating. For entertainment, we did all the typical things kids from a small town in Minnesota do: went to get togethers in corn fields, spent summer days at the lakes, camped with giant groups of friends, dragged mains (aka driving the Main Street through our town back and forth, over and over again), and hung out in the high school parking lot while someone tried to figure out the evenings events.

A year later, Micah came with me and my family on a trip to Florida. It was his first time on an airplane, and our first real adventure together. Fast forward 7 years later and we were back in Florida yet again, this time tying the knot. During those first 7 years of our relationship, we traveled all over the United States, and soon thereafter, we took our first international adventure together.

It wasn’t until we moved to Florida for sunshine, that we got the urge to visit Iceland. That trip to the land of fire and ice changed our lives and made us realize how we wanted to live each day to its fullest potential. We had always prioritized adventure in our lives, but our trip to Iceland cemented that desire firmly in place.

We are now living back in our home state of Minnesota, and have had the ability to create a life we love. While it may not always be perfect (because who are we kidding, nothing ever is), it’s fulfilling and it makes us smile at the end of the day. We’ve created a job for ourselves that allows us to travel the world while working on photo and video projects, and we then share those adventures with you here on our blog. Thank you so much for following along with us on our journey, and we hope that you can find some joy and inspiration from the stories we share!
