18 Jun In Motion: Iceland – The Land of Fire and Ice
To put it simply, Iceland, the land of fire and ice, is truly amazing. From the abundant adventure activities and beautifully bizarre landscapes, to the quaint towns and welcoming people, there is so much to fall in love with in this tiny island country, and fall for it we did. Iceland is by far our favorite country to date, and it’s going to be hard to top. We spent a short 6 days exploring, but we managed to pack in numerous adventures and meet up with an awesome Icelander,
Inga from Tiny Iceland. Here is a rundown of our activities:
- Explored the Reykjanes Peninsula
- Paid a visit to the Blue Lagoon and indulged in lunch and massages
- Had a run in with a tricky elf we named Gobby
- Experienced some of the famous Saturday night life in Reykjavik
- Drove the Golden Circle
- Snorkeled in Silfra between the continental divide
- White water canoed down the Hvítá river in a two person raft
- Explored the capitol city, Reykjavik, and ate some delicious food
- Found great local music
- Hiked a glacier and climbed up it’s ice walls
- Road tripped to the South Coast
To put some of the awesomeness of these activities into perspective, here is a video we made–we felt as though we were living a dream every day we were there:
