12 Apr Fairbanks Adventures: Snowmobiling in North Pole, Alaska

Posted at 12:35h in Alaska, Blog, Outdoor Adventure, United States by Jenna Kvidt 6 Comments

On our last day in Fairbanks, Alaska, we decided that we were going on an adventure. It didn’t matter that it was -29°F (-33°C) because we were ready to go snowmobiling at the North Pole. Okay…well we weren’t actually heading to the geographic North Pole, but...

28 Apr Snowmobiling to the Continental Divide in Colorado

Posted at 02:54h in Blog, Colorado, Outdoor Adventure, United States by Jenna Kvidt 10 Comments

Snow weighed down the branches--the trees looked like they were going to buckle under the heavy blanket of snow that we received the prior evening. We flew through tree lined trails, around sharp corners and climbed higher and higher in elevation on our way towards...

02 Mar Snowmobiling through the Mountains of Utah

Posted at 09:50h in Blog, Outdoor Adventure, United States, Utah by Jenna Kvidt 18 Comments

Another winter activity that I have neglected since I was young was snowmobiling. It has always been an adventure I enjoyed, but for some reason it stayed off my to do list until we made our way to Utah this winter. Snowmobiling through the mountains of...

Instagram post 17845601746828064 It’s 1°F here in Minnesota right now 🥶 The temps have us wishing we were back in Key West, Florida, riding a jet ski around the island! We loved getting out on the ocean to explore in a jet ski—it’s something we’ve wanted to do for quite some time, and we finally had the chance last time we were in Key West! Hope you all have a little warmth and sun wherever you are in the world today! ⠀
Instagram post 17858825125584253 One of our favorite places to snorkel in the Florida Keys is John Pennekamp State Park! We went on a tour with the state park and made our way out to the Christ of the Abyss statue for an afternoon of snorkeling. The reef there is beautiful and there is a ton of marine life. It was such a fun afternoon in the water! ⠀
Instagram post 17907979114372636 Last time we were in Key West we went kayaking in clear kayaks! We paddled through crystal clear waters and it almost felt as though we were gliding through the air. It was such a strange but amazing experience! ☀️ 🐠 ⠀
Instagram post 17870964514500753 Views of the 7 Mile Bridge and the Old 7 Mile Bridge in the Florida Keys. 🏝 We always love stopping and going for a walk on the old bridge when we are exploring the Keys! ⠀ ⠀ The Old Seven Mile Bridge is currently closed and under construction, but normally it’s home to a 2.2 mile biking and walking trail from Marathon to Pigeon Key. Can’t wait for it to open up again (in 2021), so we can make another pit stop at one of our favorite spots. In the meantime though, you can still take a boat tour out to Pigeon Key to learn about the fascinating history of the island and both of the bridges! ⠀
