I am still a kid at heart and have always loved to solve a puzzle, so I get pretty excited to participate in any scavenger hunt type activity. If the Amazing Race had a non filmed version, I would be all over that, but anything...

01 Nov Walking The Old 7 Mile Bridge to Pigeon Key

Posted at 09:41h in Blog, Florida, The Florida Keys, United States, Urban Adventure

Pigeon Key has long been a mystery in my mind. It's a small island with an abundance of history located in the middle of the Old Seven Mile Bridge. For years I had driven by this island and missing bridge link and created stories about what...

Posted at 09:20h in Blog, Florida, The Florida Keys, United States, Urban Adventure

The Florida Keys are a special place. Rough on the outside, as many Caribbean destinations are, but underneath there is a welcoming charm, the type you can only get from an unhurried seaside town. Although the Keys are not technically in the Caribbean, you are...

Did you know the northern lights were out last nig Did you know the northern lights were out last night? 😆 Ha, we figured we had to add some photos to the gazillion that are already online.

It truly was an epic show though. We were watching from the lake in Minnesota. I couldn’t pull myself away and stayed up watching until 4:30 a.m. It was fascinating to see the aurora borealis in all directions, most of the purples we saw were all over the sky right around sunset and throughout the night in the south. It was crazy to hear how active all the wildlife was, too. I heard birds, animals splashing in the water, coyotes howling, and geese honking like crazy.

Hopefully we will all get another fantastic show tonight!
