Bruges, Belgium

We really loved Belgium–it quickly became one of our favorite places because of its beauty, quaintness, and overall character which you can see through our photo essays of Bruges, Ghent and Brussels. Our days quickly flew by as we took in the beautiful surroundings wandering the streets, climbing the towers, riding along the canals and eating delicious snacks of frites, waffles and chocolate–it was a perfect side trip and short train ride from our stay in Paris. We sampled just a small taste of this wonderful country and will surely plan a longer visit one day down the road. Until then, here is a video showcasing our time in Belgium!

I live about 15min from the Belgian border and spend quite some time there. My favorite cities are Antwerp, Brussels and Ghent. The Belgian Ardennes also have beautiful nature, so I occasionally go there for the weekend as well. I’m glad you enjoyed your time with our southern neighbours 🙂

I hope to visit Antwerp someday soon! We loved Ghent and Brussels was great, too. The Belgian Ardennes sound wonderful as well–hopefully we can head there sometime as well! Thanks for the tip!

Belgium is indeed one of the beautiful city one should visit, it still has the smell of the history which someone like me who loves heritage places would love, thanks for sharing 🙂
