11 May A Photo Essay: Virginia Beach
When we arrived in Virginia Beach, the sun was shining and the fresh ocean breeze was blowing. We partnered with Visit Virginia Beach and Travel Mindset to show you our favorite adventures in Virginia Beach, and we had a great time exploring the area. Throughout the week we spent time checking out some delicious restaurants, touring museums, soaking up the coastal atmosphere and participating in a couple of outdoor adventures.
One of our favorite experiences was fat tire biking—we biked 14 miles along the beach and through trails at Back Bay National Wildlife Refuge and False Cape State Park. We also went hiking through First Landing State Park, we stopped at the Virginia Aquarium and the Military Aviation Museum, went kayaking, and we made our way to the beach and boardwalk for some fun in the sun.
We stayed in a gorgeous ocean front condo in the Sandbridge area, which is just north of False Cape State Park. Our patio had partial ocean views and the inside was beautiful with more room that we would ever need. We would love to head back sometime with a larger group of people for a longer beach vacation!
Here’s a peek into some of our favorite Virginia Beach adventures:
