01 Feb A Photo Essay: Curacao
After an amazing trip 5 years ago, Curacao quickly became one of our favorite destinations. We went scuba diving, hiking, cliff jumping, snorkeling and explored as much of the island as possible. So, when we went to the Caribbean with Choice Hotels, we were so excited to have the opportunity to revisit one of our favorite spots: Curacao.
This time around, we stayed at the Acoya Hotel Suites and Villas, which is located just a short drive from downtown Willemstad and Mambo Beach. There is a shuttle that will transfer you between the hotel and both Willemstad and Mambo Beach, and you can also be shuttled to the grocery store, as well, which is perfect because all of the rooms have kitchen facilities!
We spent our time on the island riding dune buggies, exploring downtown, road tripping around the west side of the island, cliff jumping, hiking mountains, sunning on white sand beaches and relaxing at the hotel. It was great to head back to some of our most adored spots on the island and visit a few new areas, too.
Have a look at our favorite experiences and scenes on the island:
Have you been to Curacao? What would you like to do most when visiting the island?
We recently explored the island of Curacao as part of the #ChoiceCaribbean campaign. This article is sponsored by Choice Hotels and the Acoya Hotel Suites and Villas, and we were provided our hotel stay, airfare, and some meals and expenses in connection with our adventure in the Caribbean. The experiences, stories and opinions are entirely our own.
