Snapfish Photo Book Wander The Map

Landscapes of North America: Photo Book & Giveaway

We love bringing mementos from our travels into our home, but there just isn’t enough space to buy something on every trip, which is why photographs are some of our most treasured keepsakes. It is also why we have always enjoyed creating photo books from our travels—they are the perfect combination of travel memories and stylish décor.

We’ve created a couple of photo books over the years—one is documenting our trip to Curacao and the other highlights some of our early travels together, and I really enjoy them both. So, when Snapfish contacted us to create a photo book from our most recent summer travels, we were happy to gather our photos and make a book to commemorate our many road trips this past year. We are also hosting a giveaway for two of you to win a credit to create your own photo book—keep reading for more details!

What we love about photo books:

One of the things we enjoy about photo books is that they give you the ability to creatively display your travel photographs. Showing your friends and family photos from your trip in a book format is much more fun than showing hundreds, or in our case thousands, of files on a computer. The books gives you the ability to share the best of the best and can really capture your experience in a unique way.

Also, as I mentioned before, they also make a great decoration and souvenir for your home. We keep our photo books in our bookshelf and on the coffee table and they give us daily reminders of the fun times we’ve had on the road.

Our photo book:

When we were thinking about making a book to showcase our summer travels, there was really only one way to sum up our summer: beautiful landscapes of North America. Our summer was spent road tripping throughout the United States and Canada–we visited dozens of national and state parks and saw some amazing scenery along the way. The locations we decided to feature in our book include Banff, Colorado, Maine, Florida, Minnesota, New York, Utah, Washington, Montana, and Cape Breton!

To properly showcase the beauty we saw, we decided on a 12×12 Premium Photo Book—the 12×12 size is quite large, but we are really happy with how it turned out! Our book ended up being 12 pages long and we used the easy, custom design feature to create a look that was entirely our own. We love minimalistic design, and felt the simplicity of our design gave the photos even more impact. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the quality and weight of the pages—I was expecting flimsy magazine-like pages, but instead, they were heavy-duty, weighted pages.

This is awesome. I like printing pictures out and making albums. Although many trips have gone by and haven’t been taken off the camera.

I usually like to do it the old fashioned way – develop photos, stick them into a photo album and write your experiences down. But your photobook looks great! Maybe I should make one of my study abroad experience in England.

Oh this is awesome! As a traveler, I don’t have the liberty to bring heavy stuff with me (so goodbye to photo albums), but as I’m settled down a bit here in Belgium (temporarily) this definitely sounds like a good idea! By the way, you took really great shots. I’m in love with them!

Entered! Love it! There’s something about physically holding a book full of your photos and memories which is much more appealing than flicking through them on the computer screen. Thanks for the opportunity!

Great idea… I hate having millions of photos stored away on my computer. There’s something so impersonal about it, and I never end up even looking through them all! I need to start organizing my photos in scrapbooks and photobooks, you’ve inspired me!

I’d make a photobook naturally! I have a few of trips taken in the past but nothing recent (aka the past 3 years) and would love to make that change.
