12 Apr The World in Shades of Purple
When this weeks #FriFotos theme, purple, was announced, I thought I would have an easy time finding an array of photos. I couldn’t have been more wrong. Apparently we don’t encounter much purple in our travels. Here are my favorites out of the few photos that I could find to reflect the purple hues we have captured:
The Ice Castle at the Mall of American in Bloomington, MN, was fun to explore during our weekend of ice. I enjoyed visiting at night because the castle was lit up and glowing from the inside out.
Sainte-Chapelle is a beautiful place–this photo was taken on our recent trip to Paris. Unfortunately, there was construction going on around the front left side of the stained glass windows. It was still great, but we didn’t get to see it in all it’s grandeur this time.
I am surprised how much I liked Niagara Falls–I was expecting it to be pretty amazing, but I was taken aback by the sheer power and beauty of the falls. I would love to visit again and explore more of the national parks and hiking trails around the area.
While visiting Ghent, we stayed at the Marriott right by the river–it was a great location and a nice hotel. This is a photo of the stylish lobby; I love the contrast between the historic front of the building and the modern interior.
The CN Tower is tall, and I mean tall. We took the elevator all the way to the very top level, the Skypod. This level rests at a height of 1,465 feet and there is not much room to move around on the inside, but it did provide great views of the city.
