26 Dec A Photo Essay: Washington D.C.

Washington DC is a fast-paced, ever-changing city and the political center of the United States.  We spent some time over the holidays exploring our nation’s capital city. It was a chilly couple of days because we were coming from our “adopted home” of Florida, but we were so excited to have a break from the southern heat, especially around the holidays.

There is so much to explore in Washington D.C.–some of our highlights were the memorials around the National Mall area, visiting several of the Smithsonian Museums, eating dogs at Ben’s Chili Bowl, checking out the National Christmas Tree at the White House, smelling the flowers at the US National Arboretum and much more.  Here are some Christmastime photos of the city where there is always history in the making.
