Falling for Ghent

Greetings from Paris! Micah and I are back in Paris after a few days in Belgium. Brussels was so-so and Bruges was great, but I completely fell in love with Ghent! It is such a unique city with a mix of old historic buildings, very modern buildings and some city grunge thrown in for good measure. The locals are friendly and we had a great time chatting with them. I can’t wait to share more about it with you soon!

The theme of this weeks #FriFotos is Fall, so here are a few images to show you why I have fallen for Ghent:

Lovely photos! This is just another reason why I have to make it to Belgium next time I’m in Europe. I love cities filled with historic buildings – it feels like you don’t have to seek out tourist sites because the whole city is one big attraction.

Thanks! We loved Belgium–wish we had more time to spend there, but it was a lot of fun. Bruges and Ghent were both so historic and filled with beautiful old buildings! I couldn’t stop taking photos! I hear Bruges gets pretty crowded in the summer, but it wasn’t too bad this time of year.

Ghent was a lot of fun. I actually preferred it to Brugge.

Same here! They are both so pretty, but I would rather spend more time in Ghent–I like that it has more of a city feel then Bruges
