12 Nov A Year in Travel with FIG Clothing
I always seem to struggle when looking for the right combination of clothes to bring with on our travels. I try to find items that are both versatile and comfortable, and I’m happy to say that I’ve found a brand that fits the bill: FIG Clothing.
A couple of years ago, I received a few FIG Clothing items to review, and the items I selected ended up being some of my favorite go-to pieces (and still are!). So, this year when I was offered an ambassadorship with FIG Clothing, I couldn’t have been more excited to work with them again.
FIG Clothing is a Canadian clothing brand that is “inspired by adventure and practicality”, and the items they create are versatile, comfortable and stylish. All of their clothing items are produced entirely in Canada, and two of their collections are even created with eco-friendly and organic materials. The company strives to lower their environmental footprint as much as possible, and they are active in their community in a wide range of inspirational ways.
Time and time again, the items I find myself wearing most, both at home and on the road, are my FIG Clothing pieces. I’ve taken my FIG Clothing with me around the world, and I’ve never regretted packing them in my suitcase. They have seen destinations such as Greece, Japan, Canada, Sweden, Curacao and so many states in the United States. And, my FIG Clothing items will sure be coming along to Europe again this winter! Plus, with neutral and complementary color palates to pick from, I can mix and match so many of my FIG Clothing items easily. I’ve worn and tested my clothes everywhere from the city to hiking out in nature, and it’s great how versatile they can be.
This year as part of my ambassadorship, I had the chance to select items from both the spring and fall lines. I picked a variety of items, ranging from dresses, shirts, pants and scarves. While FIG Clothing is not necessarily a budget clothing option, I think the items are worth the price because they are made with quality and they pass the test of time. The clothes I ordered a couple of years ago are still in great shape even with lots of wear, and I love the quality material they are made with. The fabric is soft and comfortable, especially for long flights! In fact, I just ordered several more pieces on my own dime because I love all of the items I already own.
Here are some photos we’ve snapped of me wearing my FIG Clothing throughout the past year, and for your reference, these are the items shown in the photos below: XEA Shirt, RIX Shirt, SHA Shirt, LEX Shirt, VAL Tunic, YSY Tunic, OYA Cardigan, OPA Pants, TED Pants, KEM Dress, FER Dress, LIV Scarf
After ordering a range of different clothes, I learned a bit more about the fit and sizes, so I wanted to share a couple of tips with you all. Each item comes in one of three different types of “fits”: slim, modern and easy. Pay attention to that when selecting your size—slim fit items are more of a tighter fit while modern and easy fit more loosely. I know it can be hard to order clothing online, but in my opinion, the items are pretty true to size.
If you would like to purchase some FIG Clothing items for yourself, I have some coupon codes to give away to friends! If you would like one, leave a comment below letting me know, and as long as I have some left, I will send you an email with more details.
Special thanks to FIG Clothing for providing me with these clothing items as part of the #FIGambassador program. As always, all opinions are my own!
