29 Oct Acting Like a Kid Again at Bounce Milwaukee
Have you ever felt the urge to revert back to your childhood for a night? I know I have! Running around playing laser tag, jumping in bouncy houses, and playing arcade games aren’t adventures just for kids anymore. Well, at least not at Bounce Milwaukee in Wisconsin!
Bounce Milwaukee is a place where kids and adults alike are free to let loose and have fun. And, the best part might be that the kids are booted out on Friday and Saturday evenings for adult only nights (21+). With a full bar, a creative food menu, plenty of fun games, and even massage chairs, there is something for everyone.
Believe it or not, before stepping foot inside of Bounce Milwaukee, I had never played laser tag, and it was about time! I have horrible aim and may have come in last place, but it was fun to run around the two-level playing field. You can tag your rivals through the ceiling, floors, and even through bouncing your laser off of the mirrors.
My favorite attractions were the inflatable bouncy houses—I had so much fun running through obstacles, falling over and getting stuck, flying down slides and laughing uncontrollably. There are two inflatable obstacle courses called “The Adrenaline Zone” and “The Moebius Combo”, and there is also an inflatable sports arena. The sports arena is perfect for activities such as boxing, soccer, football, dodgeball or even sumo wrestling with sumo suits!
Vintage Arcade Games:
Bounce Milwaukee offers a rotating selection of Free Play vintage arcade games and air hockey. There are a few authentic arcade games from the 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, as well as several emulators at the cocktail bar so you can play while you drink!
The rock wall offers a wide range of routes for people of all ages. The custom designed walls have autobelays and routes that are easy so children and beginners can feel comfortable giving rock climbing a try. But, for those who are looking for a challenge, there are routes that range from easy all the way up to difficult.
I’ve always found the food to be lackluster at most entertainment complexes, but the menu at Bounce Milwaukee had me completely surprised! They serve healthy, fresh and locally sourced foods and most everything is made to order. The menu offers salads, wraps, quesadillas, pizza, tots, and desserts. I’m always a sucker for tots, so that section of the menu had me seeing hearts, and their specialty pizzas are where they really shine. With options ranging from loaded tot to BBQ chicken or a veggie pizza called the Da Vinci, there are plenty of unique choices to pick from. They even offer vegan and gluten free options and can accommodate plenty of special requests.
You will find a wide range of drinks offered at the bar. The bar menu includes a long list of wine, beer, and cocktail options, as well as non-alcoholic options of coffee, tea, sodas and floats. I loved how the beer menu was focused heavily on local, craft brews and how they listed the distance from each brewery to your seat at the bar. Bounce Milwaukee also offers a full bar, but shots are reserved solely for the 21+ adult hours.
If you need a break or would like to rest your weary bones, hop in one of the two massage chairs waiting to help you relax. These massage chairs work everything from your head to your toes, and they are glorious. The only downside? You will never want to get out—you have been warned!
Unfortunately, Micah was not with me on this fun little adventure, as I was flying solo on an awesome trip with Visit Milwaukee. When I got home, I told him that we definitely need to make a stop at Bounce Milwaukee next time we take a road trip to our neighboring state, Wisconsin. It’s the perfect place to let loose, blow off some steam and laugh the night away–I never thought I would enjoy it so much!
So, whether you want to sip on a drink and relax in the massage chair, or join in on the fun yourself, you can act like a kid again and find an evening full of fun at Bounce Milwaukee.
