Announcing Our Newest Project!

We are happy to share with you all that we are going to be working on a video project with Best Western this year! You may have heard via our mentions on social media or brief mentions in a couple of blog posts, but I just wanted to take a minute to give you the inside scoop on what this endeavor entails!

First of all, we are super excited to be working on this project and have been having a great time producing content so far. The videos will be featuring our adventures around the US and Canada, and they will live on Best Western’s YouTube Channel. We will also be sharing some behind the scenes adventures on their travel blog, You Must Be Trippin’.

Utah Snowmobiling

What does this mean for the blog? Well, not much really, other than we will have a ton of fun experiences from the shoots to share with you this year. While we are being paid to produce the videos, it doesn’t mean that we have any obligation to share and write about the experiences on our own blog, or that we have any relationship to the tour companies we visit. So, I want to assure you that the experiences we choose to write about are the ones that we personally want to share, and as always, you will get our honest opinions.

So far, we have created 3 videos; the first was a holiday video shot in Minnesota, the second was filmed in Arizona and was a video about escaping winter, and the third was a video about embracing winter and took place in Utah. Next up, we are heading back to Utah and then on to Colorado for more winter fun! Sometimes we will be traveling by ourselves, and at other times people from the agency we are working with will be joining us. You may hear the names James and Bobby here and there—they are our two main contacts at the agency, and thankfully, they are so much fun to work and travel with!

We have stayed in many Best Western hotels over the years, and one aspect we always love about them is they are nice hotels at fairly affordable rates. Since working with them, we have learned that the hotels are all individually owned as franchises and not at a corporate level. This means that many of the properties are unique and reflect the local area you are staying in, which we totally love.

Micah and I can’t wait to see where we get to go next with this project, but in the meantime, we are heading to Italy and Japan for a bit of our own exploring. Stay tuned for a lot of exciting adventures, and we hope you all enjoy coming along for the ride!
