A Photo Essay: Brussels, Belgium

We didn’t spend much time in Brussels, and we definitely didn’t feel a connection with Brussels like we did with Ghent and Bruges, but it was a pretty place nonetheless. There were some aspects of the city that we enjoyed, others we didn’t and a couple of pretty funny incidents that we encountered. Like when we were waiting for our train in a crowded and quiet but thankfully heated room, and the lady sitting directly across from us lifted up her leg and let a big one rip and then continued to carry on like nothing happened. Everyone around acted like they didn’t hear a thing either. Call us immature, but it was incredibly hard to keep a straight face and not laugh. And when that happens and you try to hold your laughter in, it then just gets that much harder–we had to make a quick exit before we lost it. Anyways, that really has nothing to do with Brussels itself, but I just felt the need to share–as apparently did the lady across from us…

I’ll be sharing more about what we liked and didn’t like about the town soon, as well as a video we made in Belgium. But, for now, here is Brussels from our eyes:
