The theme for this week’s #FriFotos is Curves! What could be a better fit than the crookedest street in the world? Well, since I don’t have a photo of Vermont Street, I’ll go with the second crookedest, Lombard Street. Contrary to popular belief, Lombard Street is not the most crooked street in San Francisco–although it has 8 hairpin turns, Vermont in the Potrero Hill district was proven to be more crooked of a street partially because it is steeper, despite it only having 7 turns.
Even though Vermont Street beat out Lombard Street in the most crooked competition, because it has one more turn, I am dubbing Lombard Street the Curviest Street in San Francisco! Curviest and Crookedest are different, right…?
